The course is also for yoga students, wishing to learn more about themselves and step out of traditional asana. This course is module two of our Trauma-Informed Yoga, Mindfulness and Somatics training.

The module will introduce you to somatic yoga. Somatics refers to movement practices, that focus on internal physical awareness and lived experience, rather than on projected or expected feelings. These practices emphasize how we feel in the present moment, grounding movement in actual sensations rather than preconceived notions. By moving away from a rigid sense of form, somatic yoga approaches encourage a more fluid, fascia-based movement, as opposed to relying solely on muscle strength. Letting go of an idealized body image or structure allows for a natural unfolding of what the body needs in the moment, free from external or self-imposed expectations.

The course is also open to Yoga students wishing to know more about themselves, or to find ways to help loved-ones.

This module focuses somatic yoga and mindfulness – a step towards healing trauma (and long-term stress, burnout and chronic pain). Whilst the first module on traditional yoga and understanding trauma.
It is advised to follow the full course for a more in-depth discovery and learning.
